Eveningfur trotted through the mountain cave and found a small puddle of crystal water. It shimmered as it glanced off the rocky walls of the cave. She sat down next to it, and looked into its depths. There were two stones at the bottom and they shone. As Eveningfur ran through a quick list of herbs she was out of, she wished she had an apprentice to help her.

((mind if Crookedscar joins you?))
A tabby tom slouched into the cave, his scarred face unfriendly and livid. I just need some time alone. The senior warrior thought to himself. Then, spotting Eveningfur he hastily meowed. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know you were in here. Crookedscar meowed, trying his best not to sound intimidating.

((nope, it's fine!))
Eveningfur saw the large tom and had instinctively flinched in surprise, but then she smiled in what she hoped was a friendly way and nodded her head. "Busy day?" She meowed.

One of the worst. Crookedscar grumbled. I just want some time alone, but you can't get even that in this place!

Eveningfur nodded, "Sometimes time alone is the hardest thing to find, but that also goes for good company. It's often hard to find a loyal friend who actually listens to your troubles and cares." There she went again. Thinking of apprentices. All she had to do was think of any word and apprentice sprang right after it. She shook her head. An apprentice would come in time. Then she glanced back over at Crookedscar. "Well, i certainly hope you find your time alone. Me, on the other paw, I'm just wishing for an apprentice to share my time with." It felt good to tell someone. "Have you ever been a mentor?" She meowed curiously, wondering if it was possible the rough tom had ever had an apprentice.

I've had one. He was one of the best. But I think Sandstar realized that I don't really have the patience to be a mentor. Midnightpaw grew up to be one of the feircest warriors in the clan. He even had high stakes for becoming deputy. But then he was ambushed, and killed by loners. Poor cat. He really had potential.
OOC: About a medcat apprentice, Violettail (Kat RP's her) had a litter recently, so I can ask her for you if you could mentor one of them. I know Crookedscar has stakes on Ravenkit, but the other 2 are available.

OOC: Really? Please do ask! thankies!
Eveningfur shook her head sadly. "Ambushed by loners. Why in StarClan's name would loners care enough to kill a clan cat?" She had been an apprentice, but she did remember that day. It had pushed her all the way over to wanting to be a medicine cat. She had hoped then she'd be able to ask starclan why these things happened. "Have you gotten over it? Or did it leave a mark?" She asked Crookedscar.

Crookedscar let out a reluctant raspy laugh. Well, on the inside? Yes, a small one. He was a great apprentice. But also on the outside. Crookedscar flicked his tail at a large long scar on his front left shoulder. But that's the least of it. I killed them.

Eveningfur ran her eyes along the long scar. "Well they got what they deserved." she meowed contentadly. Then she stood up and stretched. "Ahh well. It was nice talking with you, Crookedscar. But now i must leave. there are some herbs that need finding and they certainly won't find themselves." With a chuckle, she flicked her tail at the tom and lazily started to pad off to her den.

Yeah... Crookedscar shook his striped head and padded out of camp, towards the ShiningClan stone valley.
