I haven't hunted yet today, so I should be able to get some good ground covered before the apprentices are up and scaring the prey all over the place. And thankyou very much Phoenixfire![/b he meowed dipping his light striped head at the shecat. You've saved me a lot of greif.

Goldstream nodded at the deputy. You are most welcome. If you'll excuse me, I need to fetch a few herbs. Don't worry yourself, they're not a few feet from this den. She meowed, and she stalked off, well, at least with as much stalk as a cat with a crippled leg could.

Maskstar wandered backl into the den. The silver cat's vision was messed up, seeing blurred shapes and shadows, but no real forms. Where am I? Maskstar didn't know where she was or anything else. Welcome to StarClan. A grey cat with white patches and dark blue eyes was staring at her. Maskstar gazed closesly at this fallen warrior. Her own eyes met the cats. Maskstar saw herself in this cat. They didn't have identical features, but there were definite relations. The two she cats had the same eyes, although Maskstar's were tinged with silver shard like streaks. This cat had dark blue octaves, that were green flecked. As Maskstar gazed at the StarClan cat's eyes, it felt as if she was staring at a pond with floating lilly pads. So unsusual. This cat was slightly smaller than the Silent Clan leader, but they had the same fit but slender body shape. Springlilly? Maskstar's voice strembled. She had never thought she would see her sister again.

Springlilly made no sign of hearing her sister cry out for her, except for a smile and a flick of her tail. It is time for you to join me in my ranks. she meowed gently, touching Maskstar's cheak with her spotted tail.

No! I am not yet ready to leave my clan! Maskstar whailed. I can not abandom my depputy. It was true. Maskstar trusted Rabbitfur, and she would miss him very much when she left for StarClan, but this was not the real reason. As of late, there had been something odd going on about the deputy. Leaving camp in the night, going out on hunts alone and then coming back hours later than necessary. He's up to something. Maskstar thought hissing. And I will not be ready to leave untill I find out what.

Maskstar, you know yourself very well that you are on your last and final life. Springlilly said severely. When you lose that final life which is now, it's time for you to come and join me. I'm sorry. But I know a way that you can keep an eye on young deputy Rabbitufr with out even being there. I am willing to share this with you, because I know that you're devoted to your clan. Springlilly straightened up. You're dying. You and your clan together.

I think that I'm ready now. Maskstar said solemly. I understand what has to be done, and I'm ready for it. Just tell me what to do. The earth came spinning back to the cat, and with a thud, she fell to the ground. Maskstar turned her head to Goldstream. There is nothing more that you can do for me now. Maskstar smiled and opened her blue optics for one last time. There are only two things that will make my soul happy. Burry me by the misty creek, or stream. It was my favorite place. And two. Wish me off to StarClan with luck. And do keep an eye on Rabbitfur. Anounce to the clan that there is to be no leader for the moment. And tell them that it was my greatest wish. The she cat smiled at her life long friend. Now it is time for me to leave you. Goodbye my dear friend. And with at twitch, Maskstar moved no more.

Goldstream nodded her head, locking everything into memory. She knew she did not have the strength to Carry Maskstar's body to the misty creek/stream, so she must enlist the help of a few warriors, but of corse she must tell the clan of Maskstar's death and of how there was to be no leader at the moment. Good bye Maskstar she said, dipping her head and I wish you off to starclan with luck noding once more, she hurried off to the camp to anounce to the clan.
